Technology has made it easier than ever to remember appointments, deadlines, and birthdays. Yet, staying connected with the people who matter most remains surprisingly difficult.
Lembrei explores how digital products can help people maintain meaningful relationships. While reminder apps focus on dates, we saw an opportunity to design around the people and memories behind those moments.
Lembrei was born from a simple question:
How might we help users preserve relationships, not just remember events?

Product Decisions
Our research challenged a common assumption: people don't need help remembering dates, they need help preserving relationships. This shift in perspective became the foundation of the product, guiding every decision from information architecture to visual design.
We combined in-depth interviews with guerrilla surveys to balance qualitative depth with broader validation. While interviews uncovered the emotions, contexts, and motivations behind the problem, the survey helped us identify which user profiles consistently experienced these challenges.

Key Learnings
This project reinforced that the most meaningful products aren't always the ones that solve the biggest problems—they're the ones that solve the most human ones.
Designing Lembrei reminded me that emotional value can be just as important as functional value, and that understanding people's motivations often leads to more thoughtful product decisions.
